Meet us in the UK at Global BirdFair 2025
Sain baina ou!
Mongolia is in full bloom. Especially the Gobi region is enjoying a lush summer after nearly five years of drought. We have a Mongolian saying: “When summer arrives, both herders and livestock can finally stretch their backs,” reflecting the relief after enduring the long and harsh winter.

Why Mongolia for birding? 🦆
Mongolia is a vital stopover and breeding ground along the East Asian–Australasian Flyway, one of the world’s major migratory routes. Each year, thousands of migratory birds including rare cranes, shorebirds, and waterfowl make their way to Mongolia’s vast wetlands, steppe lakes, and mountain valleys to mate and raise their young.
During this breeding season, male birds are at their most striking, donning vibrant plumage and engaging in elaborate displays to attract mates. It’s the perfect time for birders and wildlife photographers to witness these species in their peak condition.
